Biography
Syreeta Singleton is an American writer and producer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she studied public relations and worked as a publicist before focusing on screenwriting. She began writing stories, poems and raps as a child.
Singleton met Issa Rae at a content creators' workshop; Rae later invited her to work on Insecure (2016), where she started as an assistant before becoming a staff writer, story editor and executive story editor. She wrote for Black Monday (2019) and Central Park (2020), and served as showrunner on Rap Sh!t (2022–2023). Her debut feature screenplay, One of Them Days (2025), stars Keke Palmer and SZA.
