Biography
Takashi Naitô (also credited as Takashi Naito or Takashi Naitou; Japanese: 内藤剛志) is a Japanese actor and voice actor. He was born on 27 May 1955 in Osaka and attended Osaka Seiko Gakuin High School and Nihon University College of Art. He made his screen debut in 1980 in Hipokuratesu-tachi and has worked extensively in film and television.
Naitô is known for live-action roles including Lieutenant Iwata in Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983), Tamio in Maborosi (1995) and Takuro Sugie in After Life (1998). His voice work includes the Father in Spirited Away (2001), the Hazia Dealer in Tales from Earthsea (2006) and Yoshio Onodera in From Up on Poppy Hill (2011). He has also appeared in numerous Japanese television dramas, particularly police and detective series.
