Biography

Takehiko Ono is a Japanese actor. Born on 1 August 1942 in Komae, Tokyo, he trained at the Haiyuza acting school and joined the Bungakuza theatre company in 1966, making his stage debut that year. He appeared in his first film in 1967 and worked under the stage name Susumu Kuroki until adopting his real name in 1975.

Ono is known for film roles including Lady Snowblood (1973), Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995), Welcome Back, Mr. McDonald (1997), The Magic Hour (2008) and Key of Life (2012), as well as the voice of Aniyaku in Spirited Away (2001). He gained wider recognition for his recurring television role as Kengo Hakamada in the Bayside Shakedown series and films.
