Biography
Takeo Nakahara (中原 丈雄, Nakahara Takeo) is a Japanese actor born on 19 October 1951 in Yunomae, Kumamoto Prefecture. He is affiliated with Office Sasaki and began his career in theatre with Gekidan Mirai Gekijō before moving into film and television.
He made his film debut in Okoge (1992). Nakahara is known for his roles in the Godzilla series, including General Takada in Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999), JXSDF Chief Ichiyanagi in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002) and JSDF Chief Hitoyanagi in Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003). Other film credits include Matsubara in Death Note (2006), Gōki Onaga in Assassination Classroom (2015) and its 2016 sequel, and Miyauchi Maekawa in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final (2021). He has also appeared in numerous NHK taiga dramas and asadora series.
