Biography
Tammany Young was an American stage and film actor. Born in New York City, he began his career in silent films around 1911 and later appeared in talkies.
Young had a stage background, appearing on Broadway in productions including The Front Page (1928) and The New Yorkers (1930). He is known for supporting roles in films such as Intolerance (1916), Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933), She Done Him Wrong (1933) as Chuck Connors, and It's a Gift (1934). He frequently collaborated with W.C. Fields, appearing as his stooge in seven films between 1925 and 1936.
Young died in Hollywood, California, in 1936.
