Biography
Ted Cassidy was an American actor. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was raised in Philippi, West Virginia, and attended Stetson University, where he studied speech and drama. Before entering acting he worked as a radio announcer.
He is best known for playing Lurch in the television series The Addams Family (1964–1966). His other credits include appearances in Star Trek (1966), I Dream of Jeannie (1965) and Batman (1966), as well as the role of Harvey Logan in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). Cassidy provided the opening narration and the voice of the Hulk for the first two seasons of The Incredible Hulk (1977).
