Biography
Ted Malawer is an American writer and producer for film and television. His screen credits include the screenplay for the 2023 romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue (co-written with Matthew López), two episodes of the 2021 miniseries Halston, and two episodes each of American Rust (2024) and Law & Order (2024).
Malawer trained at the Juilliard Playwriting Program and is also a playwright whose work has been developed by theatres including the Public Theater and Atlantic Theater Company. He previously published young adult novels, including the Mystic City series, and worked as a story editor on the series Rise (2018). He received a Writers Guild of America nomination for adapted long form for Halston.
