Biography
Ted Mann was a Canadian television writer and producer. He began his career as an editor at National Lampoon magazine and wrote for its 1978 HBO special Disco Beaver from Outer Space. His early television credits included Delta House (1979) and the 1985 film O.C. and Stiggs, directed by Robert Altman.
In 1989 he contributed the story and teleplay for an episode of Miami Vice. Mann later worked extensively as a writer and producer on NYPD Blue, for which he shared a 1995 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. He also wrote and produced episodes of Deadwood and served as a producer on Homeland.
