Biography
Ted Stearn was an American animator, storyboard artist and director. He joined MTV Studios in 1995 and worked on the series Beavis and Butt-Head (1993) and its spin-off Daria (1997). He directed five episodes of Daria between 2000 and 2001, and one segment of the revived Beavis and Butt-Head in 2011.
Stearn earned a BA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1983 and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 1992. He later contributed to series including King of the Hill, Futurama, Drawn Together and Rick and Morty. He was also the creator of the alternative comic series Fuzz & Pluck.
Stearn died on 1 February 2019 in Los Angeles, aged 57.
