Biography
Temi Wilkey is a British actor and writer from North London. She studied English at the University of Cambridge and trained with the National Youth Theatre REP company in 2014. She was a member of the Royal Court’s Young Writers Group in 2017.
Her debut play, The High Table, premiered at the Bush Theatre in 2020 and won the Stage Debut Award for Best Writer. She co-founded the drag king company Pecs, performing in its shows until leaving in 2019. As an actor she has appeared in Royal Shakespeare Company productions and on screen in Years and Years (2019) as Lulu and Manhunt (2019) as PC Olivia Evanson.
Wilkey wrote an episode of the third series of Sex Education (2021), for which she received an NAACP Image Award nomination, and episodes of Wedding Season (2022). She was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and has written and performed the one-woman show Main Character Energy.
