Biography

Teo Yoo is a German and South Korean actor. Born Kim Tschi-Hun on 11 April 1981 in Cologne, he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before moving to Seoul in 2009.

He is known for his role as Viktor Tsoi in the Russian film Leto (2018) and as Hae-sung in the American film Past Lives (2023). Yoo won the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actor in 2021 and received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Past Lives. He was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2024.
