Biography
Terri Kopp is an American television writer and producer. She wrote episodes of Law & Order (1990), contributing teleplays and stories for the series between 2001 and 2003, and also served as a producer on the show.
Kopp created the legal drama In Contempt (2018), on which she served as executive producer and writer. Her other writing credits include episodes of Third Watch (1999–2000), Justice (2006), In Justice (2006), Rebel (2017), Proven Innocent (2019), For Life (2020), The Chi (2019), BMF (2021) and Power Book IV: Force (2022–). She has worked as an executive or consulting producer on several of these series, as well as Boston Blue (2025).
Before her television career, Kopp worked as a public defender.
