Biography
Terri Tatchell is a Canadian screenwriter. She graduated in 2001 from the Vancouver Film School's Writing for Film and Television programme.
She began her screenwriting career with the 2006 short film Yellow, directed by her husband Neill Blomkamp. Tatchell co-wrote the screenplay for District 9 (2009) with Blomkamp; the film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. She also wrote for Chappie (2015) and the short film Zygote (2017).
Tatchell won the 2009 Ray Bradbury Award from the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America for her work on District 9. She has written a series of children's picture books under the title Endangered and Misunderstood.
