Biography
Terry McDonell is an American writer and magazine editor. He wrote teleplays for two episodes of the television series Miami Vice (1985 and 1988) and an episode of China Beach (1988). He also wrote the 1992 video game Night Trap.
McDonell has edited numerous magazines, including Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, Esquire and Outside. He is the author of the memoirs The Accidental Life (2016) and Irma: The Education of a Mother's Son (2023), as well as the novel California Bloodstock. He co-founded the Literary Hub website in 2015.
