Biography
Terry Plumeri was an American composer, conductor and double bassist. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, he studied at the Manhattan School of Music and later with Antal Doráti while playing with the National Symphony Orchestra. He also performed and recorded as a jazz bassist with artists including Roberta Flack, Cannonball Adderley and Herbie Hancock.
Plumeri composed scores for more than fifty feature films. His credits include Black Eagle (1988), Scarecrows (1988), Sometimes They Come Back (1991), One False Move (1992), Death Wish V: The Face of Death (1994) and Route 666 (2001). His orchestral underscore for One False Move received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Score. He later conducted the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of his own works and those of Tchaikovsky.
