Biography
Tessa Hoffe is a director and writer originally from New Zealand and based in the UK. She began her career directing short films and episodes of New Zealand soap Shortland Street, before moving to the UK in 2003 where she directed multiple episodes of soaps including Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Grange Hill.
Her television credits include directing episodes of Wayne (2019), Kin (2021), Crossfire (2022) and Gangs of London (2020), as well as Zero Chill (2021) and Youth & Consequences (2018). She has also worked as a pick-up and second-unit director on Ted Lasso (2020). Hoffe is Emmy-nominated for her work on Zero Chill and Youth & Consequences, and BAFTA-nominated for Rocket's Island.
