Biography
Thania St. John is an American television writer and producer. She began her career as a story editor on series including 21 Jump Street and went on to write and produce episodes for numerous shows.
Her credits include story work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) and writing and producing roles on Grimm (2011), Chicago Fire (2012), Eureka (2006), Roswell (1999), Project Blue Book (2019) and Drop Dead Diva (2009). She created the series Crisis Center (1997) and contributed to Ballard (2025). She also adapted stories for the Netflix series The Witcher (2019).
St. John graduated from Harvard University in 1983 and holds an MFA from UCLA. She is a founding member of the League of Hollywood Women Writers and has taught television writing at the American Film Institute and Sundance Collab.
