Biography
Thea Stabell is a Norwegian actress, director and professor. Born Dorothea Jessie Pierstorff on 4 July 1939 in Oslo, she trained at the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre, graduating in 1964, and made her stage début that year in Boyfriend at Oslo Nye Teater.
She has performed at Torshovteatret, Hålogaland Teater and Nationaltheatret, and worked as an instructor at Teaterhøyskolen, becoming a professor there in 2006. Among her film roles are parts in Mannen som ikke kunne le (1968), Balladen om mestertyven Ole Høiland (1970) and Norske byggeklosser (1972). She appeared as Åse in The Worst Person in the World (2021).
