Biography
Thelma Boardman, also credited as Thelma Hubbard, was an American voice actress and writer. Born Thelma Joyce Hubbard on 31 October 1909 in the Panama Canal Zone, she began her voice work with Walt Disney Studios in the late 1930s.
She provided the voice of Minnie Mouse for radio broadcasts and several animated shorts between 1937 and 1942, including The Little Whirlwind (1941) and Mickey's Birthday Party (1942). Her other Disney roles included Donald's Angel in Donald's Better Self (1938) and multiple characters in Bambi (1942). She later wrote for television series such as Ethel Barrymore Theater (1956) and Gunsmoke (1971).
Boardman was married to screenwriter and actor True Boardman from 1935 until her death on 21 April 1978 in Los Angeles.
