Biography
Theresa Saldana (20 August 1954 – 6 June 2016) was an American actress. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she began performing in an Off-Broadway production before making her screen debut in the 1978 film Nunzio. She appeared the same year in I Wanna Hold Your Hand and played Lenore LaMotta in Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull (1980).
In 1982 Saldana survived a knife attack by a stalker outside her home. She founded the victims' advocacy group Victims for Victims, raised awareness of stalking, and wrote the memoir Beyond Survival. She received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Rachel Scali in the television series The Commish (1991–1996).
Saldana's other credits include The Evil That Men Do (1984) and voice work in animated series. She died in Los Angeles.
