Biography
Thomas Barbour was an American actor. Born on 25 July 1921 in New York City, he made his stage debut with the Group Twenty Players in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in 1953 and his New York debut the following year in an off-Broadway production of Twelfth Night. He appeared in several Broadway productions, including The Great White Hope (1968) and Portrait of a Queen (1968).
Barbour's film roles include the T.A. Chairman in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), Stanford Bach in Arthur (1981) and its 1988 sequel, Blint in A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy (1982), a judge in Legal Eagles (1986), Archer Guest in The Age of Innocence (1993) and Ira in Girlfight (2000). He also worked in television, with appearances in series such as Guiding Light and New York Undercover. Barbour died on 29 December 2005 in New York City.
