Biography
Thurop Van Orman (born Mark Ashton Van Orman, 26 April 1976) is an American storyboard artist, animator, writer, producer, director and voice actor. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he studied character animation at the California Institute of the Arts.
He created and executive produced the Cartoon Network series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack (2008–2010), in which he voiced the title character. He has worked on series including Camp Lazlo (2005–2008), Adventure Time (2010–2011) and Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh (2016–2018). Van Orman voiced Gideon Gleeful in Gravity Falls (2012–2016) and made his feature directorial debut with The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019).
