Biography
Thurston Moore is an American musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as a founding member of the band Sonic Youth. He has also released solo albums and collaborated on numerous projects, and runs the Ecstatic Peace! record label.
Moore composed the original score for the HBO series Irma Vep (2022). He has contributed music to films including Heavy (1995), Bully (2001) and Manic (2001), and has appeared in documentaries such as The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2006) and The Sparks Brothers (2021). Other credits include a guest role in Gilmore Girls (2006) and a part in The Wizard of the Kremlin (2026).
