Biography
Tim Gibbons is a television producer, director, writer and showrunner. He began his career in 1976 as a production assistant at Dick Clark Productions, where he worked for four years, later serving as executive in charge of production for Telepictures. He is best known as a producer on the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), with credits spanning producer, co-executive producer and executive producer roles from 2002 to 2011, and as producer on The Comeback (2005).
Gibbons has also served as executive producer and showrunner on series including Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013–2016) and Betty White's Off Their Rockers (2012–2013). He has received a Golden Globe, two Producers Guild of America Danny Thomas Producer of the Year awards, two Directors Guild of America awards and other honours, and was awarded the PGA's Charles B. FitzSimons Award in 2009. He has held leadership positions in the Producers Guild of America, including as president, and in the Television Academy.
