Biography
Tim Phillips is a Canadian/British composer and songwriter. He has written scores for numerous television series and films, including the Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters (2022–2024), on which he collaborated with PJ Harvey.
His other credits include Shining Vale (2022), Becoming Elizabeth (2022), multiple series of Shameless (2006–2013), Ackley Bridge (2017–2022) and the BBC film Roald Dahl's Esio Trot (2015). He co-created the West End musical The Grinning Man and is co-artistic director of Filter Theatre.
Phillips won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Original Music: Fiction for Bad Sisters. He grew up in Canada, studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and established Wizard Creek Productions in 2018.
