Biography
Tim Schlattmann is an American television writer and producer. Born and raised in Nebraska, he previously worked as a disc jockey and college professor. His early writing credits include episodes of Roseanne (1994) and Get Real, as well as Smallville (2001) and the feature film XCU: Extreme Close-Up.
Schlattmann joined the Showtime series Dexter (2006) as a story editor in its first season and contributed as a writer and producer across all eight seasons, rising to executive producer. He also wrote for the web series Dexter: Early Cuts and served as executive producer on Under the Dome (2013). Other credits include Insatiable (2018).
His work on Dexter earned multiple Writers Guild of America and Primetime Emmy Award nominations, as well as Golden Globe nominations for the series. He was part of the team that received a Peabody Award in 2007.
