Biography

Tim Seely (1935–2024) was an English actor who worked in film, television, radio and theatre.

He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his professional stage debut in 1957 in Tea and Sympathy at the London Comedy Theatre. His film roles include Midshipman Edward Young in Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), Capt. Rankin in Agatha (1979), Sir Charles Curry in Plenty (1985), the King of England in King Ralph (1991), the King in Annie: A Royal Adventure! (1995) and a doctor in Vanity Fair (2004). He was a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company and appeared in Shakespeare productions including The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing.
