Biography

Tim Wylton, also credited as Timothy Higginson, is a British actor born on 27 February 1940 in Bangor-on-Dee, Wales. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and appeared in Franco Zeffirelli's 1961 Old Vic production of Romeo and Juliet. He was a mainstay of the Royal Shakespeare Company from 1963 to 1977.

Wylton has appeared in numerous British television series. His credits include Smiler in Minder (1979), Lol Ferris in As Time Goes By (1996–2002), Stanley Dawkins in My Hero (2000–2006), Mr Gardiner in Pride and Prejudice (1995), and roles in Agatha Christie's Poirot, Midsomer Murders, A Touch of Frost, Absolutely Fabulous and All Creatures Great and Small. He is the father of actor Huw Higginson.
