Biography
Tim Zinnemann is an American film producer, former assistant director and photographer. Born in Los Angeles, California, he is the son of director Fred Zinnemann. He began his career as an assistant director in the mid-1960s on films including Harlow (1965), Bullitt (1968) and Carnal Knowledge (1971).
He later worked as a line producer and producer on films such as Straight Time (1978), The Long Riders (1980), Fandango (1985), The Running Man (1987) and The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996). In 1985 he directed one episode of the television series Miami Vice, his only directing credit. Since the early 1990s he has focused on photography.
