Biography
Toby Corbett is a production designer working in film and television. He is based in Los Angeles and has credits on features including Movie 43 (2013), Pitch Perfect 2 (2015), Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), Bullet to the Head (2012), Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009) and The Cooler (2003).
Corbett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Theatre from the University of Washington. He began his career in regional theatre as a scenic artist in Seattle before working as a design assistant at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and as a scenic designer on off-Broadway productions in New York. His television work on the HBO series Tracey Takes On... earned three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
He has collaborated with directors including John Sayles, Walter Hill, Kathryn Bigelow, Wayne Kramer and Werner Herzog. Corbett has also designed episodes of the television series Dynasty (2021–2022).
