Biography
Toby Wilson is an American production designer and art director working in animation. He graduated from Otis College of Art & Design with a BFA in Illustration and began his career in the video game industry at Electronic Arts, where he served as production designer on the 2010 instalment of Medal of Honor and as a lead concept artist and storyboard artist on titles including Medal of Honor: Airborne, Boom Blox and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.
He later joined Walt Disney Animation Studios as production designer and art director on projects in the Cars and Tinker Bell franchises. At Sony Pictures Animation he worked as 3D visual development supervisor and art director on the feature The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021). Wilson was production designer on all eight episodes of the Netflix animated series Blue Eye Samurai (2023), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award.
