Biography
J. Todd Scott is an American writer and producer. He has written episodes of the Paramount+ series Dutton Ranch (2026), on which he also serves as a producer, and contributed to Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023).
A Kentucky native, Scott earned a law degree from George Mason University and spent nearly thirty years as a special agent with the DEA, retiring as Special Agent in Charge of the Louisville Division. He is the author of several crime and thriller novels, including the Chris Cherry/Big Bend trilogy beginning with The Far Empty (2016). His books have led to work in film and television.
