Biography
Tom Jankiewicz was an American screenwriter. He received sole story credit and shared screenplay credit on the 1997 film Grosse Pointe Blank, directed by George Armitage and starring John Cusack.
Jankiewicz wrote the initial script in 1991 after receiving an invitation to his tenth high school reunion. Before the film was produced, he worked as a substitute teacher and a cashier at a Big Lots store in Upland, California. He also worked as an advertising copywriter and script doctor.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Jankiewicz graduated from Bishop Foley Catholic High School in 1981. He died on 23 January 2013.
