Biography
Tom McAdoo was an American film editor. He began his career in the sound department in the 1940s before moving to picture editing in the early 1950s.
His editing credits include Shane (1953), The Court Jester (1955), The Missouri Traveler (1958), The Crowded Sky (1960), Boys' Night Out (1962), The Wheeler Dealers (1963) and The Americanization of Emily (1964). He also worked as supervising film editor on The Young Land (1959) and contributed to several television episodes.
McAdoo was born on 5 February 1914 in Bolivar, Missouri, and died on 21 March 1964 in Los Angeles, California. He was the brother of Mary McAdoo Hussey.
