Biography
Tom Werner is an American television producer. He co-founded the Carsey-Werner production company with Marcy Carsey in 1980 after working as a programming executive at ABC. The partnership produced a string of successful sitcoms.
Werner served as producer or executive producer on Roseanne (1988–1997, with a 2018 revival) and its spin-off The Conners. He held similar roles on The Cosby Show (1984–1992), for which he won a Primetime Emmy, A Different World (1987), 3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001) and That '70s Show (1998–2006). He has also produced films including Let's Go to Prison (2006). Outside television, Werner is chairman of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC through his investment in Fenway Sports Group.
