Biography
Tom Yellin is an American television and film producer. He began his career at ABC News, producing news programmes and series that earned awards including Peabody, Emmy, Gabriel, George Polk and Alfred I. duPont–Columbia University prizes.
In 2002 he co-founded PJ Productions and later co-founded the independent production company The Documentary Group. Among his credits are the documentaries Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience (2007), Girl Rising (2013) and Cartel Land (2015). The latter received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature and a BAFTA nomination for Best Documentary.
He was also executive producer and writer on the series Amend: The Fight for America (2021).
