Biography
Tomoko Tabata is a Japanese actress. She was born on 26 December 1980 in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto. Tabata began her career as a child actor, appearing in the 1993 film Moving.
She is known for roles in films including The Hidden Blade (2004) as Shino Katagiri, Blood and Bones (2004) as Hanako Kim, Hana (2006) and the voice of Menowarawa in The Tale of The Princess Kaguya (2013). Tabata has also appeared in television series such as Legal High (2012) and Midnight Diner (2009). In 2004 she received the Mainichi Film Award for best supporting actress for The Hidden Blade and Blood and Bones; she won best actress at the Mainichi Film Awards in 2012 for The Cowards Who Looked to the Sky.
