Biography
Tone Bell is an American stand-up comedian and actor. Born Michael Anthony Bell II on 10 August 1983 in Decatur, Georgia, he attended Savannah State University, where he studied communications with a concentration in radio and television. After graduating in 2004 he taught first grade before moving into promotion work and then stand-up comedy.
Bell won the NBC Stand Up For Diversity Talent Search in 2012. He has appeared in television series including Whitney (2012–2013) as RJ, Bad Judge (2014–2015) as Tedward, Disjointed (2017–2018) as Carter, and Survival of the Thickest (2023–) as Khalil. Film roles include Dog Days (2018), Little (2019) as Preston, Sylvie's Love (2020) as Dickie Brewster, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021) as John Levy, Trigger Warning (2024) as Spider, and Coyote vs. Acme (2026) as Sal Maltese. He has also hosted the Netflix reality series Drink Masters.
