Biography
Tonin Janvier is a French actor. He played the role of Tonin in the 2025 film Sirāt, directed by Oliver Laxe.
He grew up in a family of street artists who worked as comedians, musicians and scenographers, and was born in his parents’ caravan in the Lot region. Janvier has performed in underground street theatre and specialised in puppetry for twenty years. He lived in Mali for more than five years, working as a bush-taxi driver and convoying vehicles from France to Mali via Spain, Morocco and Mauritania. He has also been associated with the travellers and free-party community.
