Biography
Tony Llewellyn-Jones is a British-born Australian actor. Born in London in 1949, he moved to Australia in 1965 and graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1971.
He is known for his role as Tom in Peter Weir's Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), for which he received a nomination for the 1976 AFI Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Other film credits include The Last Wave (1977), Where the Green Ants Dream (1984) and Cosi (1996). His television work includes a long-running role as Dr Ian Browning in G.P. (1992–1995) and appearances in Underbelly (2008) and Colin from Accounts (2022).
Llewellyn-Jones has also worked extensively in theatre, appearing with companies including the Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Theatre Company and Bell Shakespeare.
