Biography
Tor Borong (1886–1967) was a Swedish actor and production manager. Born in Stockholm, he appeared in numerous films, often in small or uncredited roles, and worked as an inspicient (production manager) at Svensk Filmindustri studios in Filmstaden until his retirement in 1959.
He is known for his appearances in several Ingmar Bergman films, including The Seventh Seal (1957) as Farmer at the Inn (uncredited), The Virgin Spring (1960) as Farm-hand (uncredited), The Magician (1958) as Border Officer (uncredited), and Winter Light (1963) as Johan Åkerblom (uncredited). He also had credits in earlier Swedish films such as Summer with Monika (1953) and A Lesson in Love (1954).
Borong began his career in theatre and revues around 1911. He was married to actress and singer Carla Wiberg.
