Biography
Tōru Furuya is a Japanese voice actor and narrator. Born on 31 July 1953 in Yokohama, he began acting as a child with the troupe Gekidan Himawari and is affiliated with Aoni Production.
Furuya is known for numerous anime roles, including Amuro Ray in the Mobile Suit Gundam series, Yamcha in Dragon Ball and its sequels, Pegasus Seiya in Saint Seiya, Mamoru Chiba / Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon, and Kosaku Tokita in Paprika (2006). He has also provided the Japanese voice for Mario in several productions and worked under the pseudonym Noboru Sōgetsu for certain characters.
