Biography
Tracy McMillan is an American television writer and author. She began her career writing and producing television news before moving into screenwriting. Her credits include episodes of Mad Men (2010), Life on Mars (2008–2009), The United States of Tara (2010), Chase (2010) and Necessary Roughness (2011). She shared a 2010 Writers Guild of America Award for Dramatic Series for her work on Mad Men.
McMillan is the author of the memoir I Love You and I'm Leaving You Anyway (2010), the relationship book Why You're Not Married... Yet (2012), based on a viral 2011 Huffington Post post, and the novel You'll Know It When You See It (2015). She later created and wrote the series Unprisoned (2023–2024).
