Biography
Tsumami Edamame, also known by the real name Takahiko Aoki and stage name つまみ枝豆, is a Japanese actor and comedian. Born on 1 June 1958 in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, he is a member of Beat Takeshi's troupe Takeshi's Army and has appeared regularly on associated variety programmes.
He has taken supporting roles in several films directed by Takeshi Kitano. These include Boiling Point (1990), in which he was credited as Takahiko Aoki and played Saburou; Fireworks (1997), as the Businessman Throwing Rocks; and Zatoichi (2003), as the Carpenter. He has also worked in television and other films, and serves as representative director of the agency TAP, formerly Office Kitano. His wife is the announcer Tomomi Eguchi.
