Biography
Tucker Wiard was an American television editor. He began his career in the videotape department at CBS after moving to Los Angeles in 1968, having previously served in the US Army where he established a videotape facility at Fort Benning.
Wiard edited numerous comedy series, including all ten seasons of Murphy Brown (1988–1998) from the pilot onwards. He also worked on The Carol Burnett Show (winning an Emmy for its 1978 finale), Alice, All in the Family and Good Times. He received five Primetime Emmy Awards for editing and was nominated a further six times. Wiard joined the American Cinema Editors in 1992 and retired in 2009.
