Biography
Tuva Novotny is a Swedish actress and director. Born Tuva Matilda Moa Karolina Hedström on 21 December 1979 in Stockholm, she grew up near Arvika in Värmland. She is the daughter of actress and sculptor Barbro Hedström and Czech film director David Novotný.
She began acting at 16 with a leading role in the television series Skilda världar (1996–2000). Novotny has appeared in films such as The Best Man's Wedding (2000), Slim Susie (2003), Eat Pray Love (2010), A War (2015), The King's Choice (2016), Borg vs McEnroe (2017) and Annihilation (2018), playing Cass Sheppard. She has directed episodes of the Norwegian series Dag and the feature Blindsone (2018).
Novotny is fluent in Swedish, Czech, Danish and Norwegian. She has lived in Copenhagen since 2003.
