Biography
Ty Olwin is an American actor. He appeared as Gary in Olivier Assayas’s Personal Shopper (2016), opposite Kristen Stewart.
Olwin holds a BFA in Dramatic Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, from which he graduated in 2013. He is also a graduate of the School at Steppenwolf (2012). His stage work includes productions at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Steep Theatre, The House Theatre of Chicago and Raven Theatre. He received the League of Cincinnati Theatres Award for Outstanding Leading Actor for his performance as Alexander Ashbrook in Coram Boy and an Acclaim Award for Outstanding Non-Equity Lead Performance as Matt in Red Light Winter.
His screen credits include the series Fargo (2020) as Terry Ratchet, Chicago Med (2018–2022) as Harris Bevel and APB (2017) as DV8, and the films Knives and Skin (2019) as Andy Kitzmiller and Dreaming Grand Avenue (2019) as James.
