Biography
Tze Chun is an American screenwriter, director and producer. Born in Chicago in 1980, he was raised outside Boston, graduated from Milton Academy in 1998 and earned a BA in film studies from Columbia University.
He wrote for the ABC series Once Upon a Time (2011) during its fourth and fifth seasons. Other television work includes serving as a writer and executive story editor on Gotham (2014), and writing episodes or teleplays for Little America (2020) and I'm a Virgo (2023). Chun also wrote and directed the feature films Children of Invention (2009) and Cold Comes the Night (2013).
In 2007 he was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film". His debut feature Children of Invention premiered at Sundance and won multiple festival awards.
