Biography

Uri Fruchtmann is an Israeli film producer and director. Born in 1955, he co-founded the independent production company Fragile Films in the United Kingdom and serves as a non-executive director of Ealing Studios.

His producing credits include Spice World (1997), An Ideal Husband (1999), High Heels and Low Lifes (2001), The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) and Hope Springs (2003). He has also directed documentary and television projects such as Stir It Up (1994) and The Atlantic Records Story (1993).

Fruchtmann is a human rights activist. In 2008 he co-founded the charity Videre Est Credere. He was previously married to singer Annie Lennox and has been married to Catherine Cheshire since 2006.
