Biography

Ursina Lardi is a Swiss actress. She was born on 19 December 1970 in Samedan, Graubünden. After training as a primary school teacher, she studied acting at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin, graduating in 1996.

She has worked extensively in German theatre, with engagements at venues including the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Berliner Ensemble and, since 2012, as a member of the Berliner Schaubühne ensemble. Her film roles include Marie Louise in Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon (2009), the mother in Lore (2012), Mitzi Brue in A Most Wanted Man (2014) and Astrid in The Girl and the Spider (2021).

Lardi has received the Swiss Film Award for Best Actress and the Swiss Grand Prix Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring.
